This rear framework cladding in carbon replaces the original component while using the original attachment points. The original licence plate holder is waived and we recommend the use of item 45052-500.
Most prominent are the weight savings (as a rule, a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part is made completely of pre-preg material (see FAQ) in accordance with the newest guidelines in autoclaves and in the next step – as usual for us – it’s covered with a plastic cover to protect against impacts on the environment.
This plastic covering exceeds the customary clear lacquer covering in the protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability to a large degree. But the covering does not only score technically, it also clearly underscores the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
